The 2023 Subaru Outback Wilderness Edition in Gaithersburg MD

New Subaru Outback Wilderness in Gaithersburg

Subaru recently updated the Outback lineup with a new trim called the Wilderness. Many of our customers at Fitzgerald Subaru of Gaithersburg feel intrigued by the Wilderness, and we are eager to carry it in our inventory. Please visit our local Subaru showroom to learn more or arrange your test drive.

Rugged Performance

The Subaru brand configured the Wilderness to have a turbocharged 2.4-liter engine. This engine delivers 260 horsepower and 277 pound-feet of torque. Like other Outback trims, it comes standard with the brand's symmetrical all-wheel drive setup. One thing that's different about the Wilderness is that it has an enhanced X-MODE system. X-Mode can engage whenever you want to have extra traction. You can choose from Snow/Dirt and Deep Snow/Mud settings. Hill Descent Control can ensure that you don't pick up too much speed when you travel down a slope, and Active Torque Vectoring can contribute to the overall handling.

Safety

You can drive this Subaru SUV confidently, knowing that it has multiple sensors that can keep an eye out for problems. If it detects an issue, it'll alert you to the situation and could possibly help you take corrective measures. It can sense other vehicles in your blind spot, it knows when vehicles are crossing behind you, and it'll be ready to jump into action if you're about to hit an object in front of you.

The new Subaru Outback Wilderness has a lot to offer, and it could prove to be a great choice. Reach out for more information.

Interior & Exterior Features

The cabin of the Subaru Outback Wilderness has plenty of space. If you're getting ready to load your cargo in the back, take advantage of the hands-free power rear liftgate. Up front, the seats are power-adjustable and have heating elements, and the rear outboard seats can heat, too. You and your lucky passengers can stay cozy when the temperatures drop. A dual-zone climate control system can also make it easy to stay comfortable while you travel to Washington, DC. If you get muddy on your adventures, there's no need to worry about getting the seats dirty. The new Wilderness has StarTex upholstery, which is water-resistant; you can simply wipe them as needed.

When you look at the Wilderness in comparison with other Outback trims, you'll notice that it sits higher off the ground. It has a ground clearance of 9.5 inches, while the others in the lineup have 8.7 inches of clearance. The black wheels match the black side mirrors, and the all-terrain tires can come in handy when you're going off the beaten path near Rockville, MD. In case you run into trouble, you'll be glad to have a full-size spare tire with you. In addition to all of these great features, the Wilderness comes with an anti-glare hood design and reinforced roof rails that have copper accents.

Technology

The Subaru Outback Wilderness comes with an 11.6-inch touchscreen. Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and SiriusXM are some of the standard features, and if you want to upgrade the system, there's an opportunity to get integrated navigation. When you're traveling around Gaithersburg and want to have a fast connection to the Internet, the Wilderness can help you since it can act as a Wi-Fi hotspot. People in the first and second rows can have access to USB ports, so your devices can stay charged while you travel.
