That's why Subaru and our retailers partner with the Arbor Day Foundation (TM) to provide and distribute 100,000 regionally appropriate trees across the country. We're proud to establish the largest corporate tree distribution ever. Through this and other Subaru Loves the Earth initiatives, Subaru and our retailers have helped distribute and plant over 1.1 million trees.

Health
Subaru believes we should all have a chance to lead a healthy life. That's why for the past 10 years, Subaru and its retailers like us have partnered with Blood Cancer United® and our local hospital or cancer treatment center to give warm blankets and encouraging messages of hope, written by our staff and customers to support patients facing cancer. Through our efforts during this decade-long partnership, we've supported nearly 500,000 cancer patients nationwide. Together, we are proud to be Blood Cancer United's largest automotive donor.
Subaru and its retailers, like us, are continuing our support of education and high-needs schools in our communities through Subaru Loves Learning(R) by providing teachers across the country with funding to purchase the school supplies and resources they know are needed to help students thrive in the classroom.

Subaru believes all pets deserve a loving home. That's why retailers like us partner with our local animal welfare organization every October to provide direct financial assistance through a grant distributed by the ASPCA® and host pet events to help animals find loving homes. Through our partnership with local and national organizations, Subaru has donated over $70 million, supporting the rescue, adoption, and health of over 700,000 animals. We're proud to be the largest corporate donor to the ASPCA.

That's why for every new vehicle sold or leased during the Subaru Share the Love event, Subaru and its retailers, like us, makes a donation to national charities that our owners care about and to over 2,700 local charities where Subaru owners live and work.
Now, after 17 years, Subaru and our retailers have donated nearly $320 million to charity all to give back and to make the world a better place.

Imagine going without a coat, shoes, or even socks. For millions of children and adults experiencing homelessness and other urgent need situations across the country, even here in Gaithersburg, this is a harsh reality. Helping others strengthens communities, which is why Fitzgerald Subaru of Gaithersburg is partnering with Operation Warm®, a national nonprofit focused on connecting children with the resources they need to thrive. Through this partnership and other Subaru Loves to Help® efforts, Subaru and retailers like Fitzgerald Subaru of Gaithersburg have helped nearly 900,000 children and adults in urgent need. On 02/03/2025, Fitzgerald Subaru of Gaithersburg donated 504 coats to The Salvation Army Montgomery County Corps. These essential items not only help keep children protected, warm, and dry, it can have a significant impact on a child's mental and emotional well-being.

We had a customer come into the parts department to ask for the part number and price for valve stem caps. She misplaced hers and wanted to purchase replacements. She looked shocked when the parts employee said he can provide some for free for her. She insisted that she pay for them and explained how she was going to order them online but didn't want to get the wrong part. He insisted that she take them for free. She was so thankful.
Small gesture of kindness - Linda P.
"My husband just died, and I have to move back to my country.", was the first thing my client came in and said this morning as she checked in her car. She explained that due to her husband's passing, she has to return to Mexico and plans to sell the car. Before selling it, she wanted to ensure the car was in good condition and clean because it's the right thing to do for the next owner. She opted to wait while we completed the service and detail. We performed the maintenance and a multi-point inspection. We provided her with the inspection video and sheet so she could share it with a potential buyer. The car was in excellent condition and didn’t need a full detail—just a light touch-up and wipe-down from the pollen. We walked out to the car with her to check it together, and she was very happy to see it clean and presentable. When I told her there would be no charge for the service or cleaning, she broke down in tears. She shared how stressful things had been since her husband passed and expressed how blessed she felt by the kind gesture. We wished her the best in her future travels and offered our heartfelt support. These are difficult times, and it's important we support each other when we can.

Over the past 4-plus years, Fitzgerald Subaru of Gaithersburg has been a generous sponsor of Clarksburg High School Athletics. Fitzgerald's support has enabled us to purchase brand new electronic scoreboards for both our softball and baseball fields! The old manual scoreboards were broken and falling apart (and no one could tell what the score was!). These purchases lifted up our teams as well as the overall CHS community. We are so grateful for Fitzgerald's generous support!

In addition to, many of Subaru's "new parent kits" were donated to HRA so that both adopted, and still awaiting, shelter animals could have new leashes, toys, food bowls, and more!
