During the month of June, as part of the Subaru Loves to Care^® initiative, Fitzgerald Subaru of Gaithersburg partners with The Children's Inn at NIH to give warm blankets, patient care kits, and encouraging messages of hope written by customers and employees at our store to support individuals living with cancer in our community.

Through the Blood Cancer United Urgent Need Pediatric and Young Adult Program, Fitzgerald Subaru of Gaithersburg is also providing pediatric blood cancer patient households financial relief to help offset non-medical costs associated with treatment, such as transportation, food, housing, and utilities.

Treatment can often leave people feeling weak, cold, and isolated. Gestures like a cozy blanket, activities to provide a moment of distraction, an uplifting note, and financial assistance may help remind someone they are not alone during a time that can feel overwhelming.

Fitzgerald Subaru of Gaithersburg believes we all should have a chance to lead a healthy life. That's why Subaru and its retailers, like us, have partnered with Blood Cancer United for over 10 years. Through our combined efforts during this partnership, we will have supported over 550,000 cancer patients nationwide by the end of this year.
